WASHINGTON: WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, a member of the TKO Group Holdings Board of Directors, is set to make waves on “WWE SmackDown” for the next three episodes, despite his status as a “WWE Raw” star.
His presence in the arena will bring him face to face with his budding rival, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and his WrestleMania 40 opponent, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
A couple of days before, WWE hinted at The Rock’s appearance on the March 1 show in Glendale, Arizona. Responding to the news, The Rock also took to social media ‘Instagram’ once again to confirm his presence at the March 8 Smackdown in Dallas and the March 15 show in Memphis.
With The Rock’s involvement and anticipation building among WWE enthusiasts, fans are eagerly marking their calendars for the upcoming Smackdown events, expecting nothing short of extraordinary entertainment. The WWE officials are busy in preparation for the annual big event ‘Wrestlemania 40’ to be organised on April 6 and 7.
The tension between Rhodes, The Rock, and Reigns has been building, with Rhodes recently challenging Reigns and confronting The Rock at a special edition of “The Grayson Waller Effect.” Their interactions suggest a power struggle on the road to WrestleMania, with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins also looming on the sidelines.
Rollins is expected to join the fray on this Friday’s “WWE SmackDown” in Glendale, Arizona, potentially shifting the dynamics of the rivalry. Speculation abounds that Rhodes and Rollins could team up to take on The Rock and Reigns in a high-stakes tag team match to headline night one of WrestleMania 40.
