Kirodi Lal Meena Demands ‘Fair Probe’ into SI-Recruitment scam

Rajasthan: The Minister Kirodi Lal Meena on Tuesday demanded a fair investigation into the alleged SI recruitment examination of 2021, submitting ‘evidence’ to the Special Operations Group (SOG).

The minister claimed that about 300-400 candidates were fraudulently selected for the examination.

Demanding a thorough investigation into the matter on the evidence he provided, Meena claimed that fake selections were entertained in the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) recruitment of 2018 as well.

He also alleged that the previous Congress government recruited over 850 candidates after the Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment examination in 2021.

“No action has been taken even after a dozen of First Information Reports (FIRs) registered in connection with the scam found in the recruitment examination. I have already exposed large-scale fraud regarding the recruitment process,” Meena said.

He also alleged that approximately 859 candidates are currently training at the Police Academy after being selected through the SI recruitment examination in 2021.

“If the investigators cross-check the videography/call letter and faces of selected candidates from RPSC at the selection centre, hundreds of candidates will be found to be fake as compared to real candidates,” he said.

Meena further alleged that he saw an interview of a selected candidate who struggled to unveil the name of the President of India on a simple question, hinting at possible impersonation during the examination process.

He also claimed to have evidence suggesting that a male candidate appeared for the examination on her behalf. There could be more possible impersonators might be found in the probe.

The minister urged for a thorough scrutiny of the selected candidates, predicting that around 300 of them could be fraudulent. Additionally, Meena called for an investigation into the RAS recruitment processes of 2018 and 2021, alleging misconduct in the examination checking process and favoritism in awarding marks to candidates associated with the previous Congress government.

The accusations made by Meena have sparked concerns about the integrity of the recruitment processes in Rajasthan, prompting calls for swift and decisive action to address the alleged fraud and restore public trust in the system.
