BENGALURU: The key suspect who was evading his arrest for the past few days, has finally landed in the net of The National Investigation Agency in connection with his alleged involvement in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Café blast case.
Syed Shabbir, who was nabbed from Ballari in Karnataka was arrested based on his suspected activities after hundreds of CCTV footage being examined by the teams of NIA.
Shabbir is being interrogated to ascertain his role in the crime. He reportedly belongs to the Cowl Bazaar area in Ballari.
Last week, a cloth merchant was held in the case by the joint team of NIA and Central Crime Branch, following which Shabbir was arrested.
NIA has confirmed before the Rameshwaram Café blast case is an ISIS Ballari module link. Earlier before on March 8th, NIA arrested four suspects in the case.
With the recent development, NIA sources said some more arrests might take place.
