JAIPUR: A Pakistani drone carrying drugs was shot down by The Border Security Force in Rajasthan’s Anupgarh district along with India-Pakistan, an official said on Wednesday.
The estimated heroin value was found to be Rs 13 crore after the drone was shot down.
The police said the crack-down was done following a tip-off received by BSF officials that a drone carrying drugs was entering in Indian territory.
BSF officials handed over the drugs and drone to the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Earlier also to curb similar incidents Telangana Police had embarked on a pioneering initiative to combat the escalating threat of drones and to safeguard national security at sensitive border regions by enlisting the assistance of three trained eagles.
