IndianOil organises Inter-School Quiz on Vigilance Awareness, read more

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IndianOil) organized an Inter-School Quiz Competition on Vigilance Awareness, as a part of the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024, at SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi, in which students from 145 schools across the NCR region participated. Anant Kumar Singh, IPS, CVO, IndianOil, was the chief guest of the event.

The quiz consisted of three rounds, focusing on the role of vigilance in public life, key initiatives by the Government of India and IndianOil in promoting ethical practices, and current affairs. The winning team, from Mayoor School, Noida received trophies and certificates from Anant Kumar Singh, along with a special commendation for their outstanding performance.

Addressing the students, Singh highlighted the various mechanisms established by the Government of India to combat corruption at different levels. These initiatives aim to create systematic improvements that enhance the transparency and objectivity of procedures, striving to eliminate corruption. He passionately urged students to embrace these values as foundational principles guiding their actions and decisions. The CVO articulated that integrity and ethical behaviour are not merely personal choices but essential elements for fostering a transparent and just community to build a Prosperous Nation.

Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, observed from October 28 to November 3, aligns with the Central Vigilance Commission’s theme of the year, “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”. Through a series of activities such as debates, quizzes, and seminars, IndianOil aims to underscore the importance of transparency and the need for a corruption-free society. These events provided a platform for young minds to showcase their knowledge of vigilance, ethics, and transparency while instilling a sense of responsibility and integrity.
