Black Day In History: Salutation to martyrs of 26/11, nation remembers with solemn prayers

Today is the 16th anniversary of the 26/11 attacks, a series of coordinated terror attacks at the Taj Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Leopold Cafe, Mumbai Chabad House, Nariman House, Cama Hospital, and Metro Cinema by ten Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.

A solemn day for those who had lost their near and dear ones in the Mumbai attack. Black day in the history of India as we lost over 166, including 18 security personnel, and injuring several others at different places.

The real heroes of Mumbai attacks – 

Anti-terrorism squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare along with Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ashok Kamte, Inspector Vijay Salaskar and two other policemen, were killed outside the Cama Hospital after the Pakistani terrorists opened fire at them.

ASI driver Balasaheb Bhosale, constable Jaywant Patil, operator Yogesh Patil, constables Arun Jadhav and Jayawant Patil accompanied them and all of them eventually came face-to-face with the terrorists who were coming on the same lane from the opposite direction. Both sides opened fire at each other leading to the killing of five brave policemen including three high-rank officers.

Salutation to the courage and spirit of Mumbaikars who fought with the terror each moment…
