Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva hospitalised after taking dip in ‘polluted’ Yamuna

We all had seen the viral video showing Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Virendra Sachdeva taking a dip in the polluted Yanuma river at the ITO Chatt Ghat on Friday. In the video, Sachdeva was seen putting a challenge to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to take dip in the Yamuna. He had placed two couch for the two.

On Saturday, photographs of Sachdeva was making rounds on the social media and mainstream media showing him admitted in hospital after reported breathing issues and skin irritation days. According to Sachdeva, the toxic water has caused the rashes. The party’s social media handle stated that the BJP leader was admitted to hospital after complaining of skin rashes.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slammed former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal over his “failure” to fulfil his promise of cleaning Yamuna by 2025.

Virendra Sachdeva after the dip faced skin rashes and slight discomfort in breathing, Delhi BJP said in a statement. He was examined by the doctors at the RML hospital who prescribed him medicines for three days.

Nothing new as its a cult practice to shrug off all allegations made at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), senior AAP leader and Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the BJP was creating a “drama” and intensifying the issue of the rising pollution levels in Delhi. AAP minister finds it difficult to accept that the Yamuna water is toxic and dangerously polluted.

Sachdeva had on Thursday taken a dip in the Yamuna at a ghat near ITO, in protest against the “corruption” of the Delhi government.
