On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The news along with a photograph was poster by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on the X handle. However, no other details were given in the post. The meeting took place in Delhi.
According to sources, the meeting that was Atishi’s first meeting with PM Modi after assuming Delhi chief minister office. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi shared the tweet by PMO and expressed happiness over the meeting.
However, the meeting took place at a time when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is loggerhead over the eviction of Atishi from her official residence at 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow. However, Lieutenant Governor LG VK Saxena’s had clarified that eviction was carried out because the house was not officially allotted to the new Chief Minister of Delhi. AAP had alleged LG working on the instigation of BJP.
The house 6, Flagstaff Road is the official CM’s bunglow and was vacated by former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after he tendered his resignation over the his alleged involvement in the Delhi excise scam case. Kejriwal had said that he would become the Chief Minister only when people of Delhi will elect him back in power.
