Haryana election results tomorrow

Will it be the Congress or the Saffron again in Haryana is the big question among all. The waiting is finally over. Results will be declared on Tuesday (tomorrow). Haryana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Pankaj Agarwal informed that the counting of votes will commence at 8 AM on October 8, 2024. The trends will be clear by 2 pm. However, complete result might take more time to emerge but trends would be clear by afternoon.

A total of 1,031 candidates are contesting the Haryana Assembly polls for 90 seats in the state. These elections follow the recent 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in which the BJP secured five out of the ten parliamentary seats in Haryana, while Congress managed to win the remaining five. The Haryana election is crucial as the results will set the trend for the future state politics and also evolve the political strategies for the upcoming 2029 general elections.

Apart from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Choudhary Devi Lal’s Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) are in the fray.

Security have been beefeed up across the state. CEO informed that the comprehensive security arrangements have been made for the counting. A total of 30 companies of Central Armed Police Forces have been deployed at 93 counting centres. The counting centres have been put under a three-tier security cover.

Let’s take a glance at the salient features:

1} 93 counting centres have been set up for 90 assembly constituencies in 22 districts of the state.

2) To monitor the counting process, 90 counting observers also have been appointed by Election Commission of India.

3) Two counting centres each have been set up for the Badshahpur, Gurugram, and Pataudi assembly constituencies, while one counting centre each has been established for the remaining 87 assembly constituencies.
