Neeb Karori Baba temple in Delhi celebrates 60th foundation day, special puja held

On December 4, 2024, the Bela Road Hanuman Mandir also known as the Neeb Karori Baba temple celebrated its 60th foundation day.

The temple which has an interesting history – how Neeb Karori Baba fondly Maharaj Ji identified this place which used to be a jungle. Maharaj Ji had asked people to dig the place and pulled out the idol of  ‘Laghu Hanuman Ji (tiny Hanuman idol). The idol is worshipped everyday in the temple.

The temple is situated at Bela Road near Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Kashmere Gate in Delhi. Then Union Home Minister Gulzari Lal Nanda laid the foundation stone on December 4, 1964.

Special puja was organised on this auspicious occasion since early morning – Devotees visited the temple and attended the Hanuman Chalisa Path from 9am to 11am followed Prasad distribution. Sunderkand and Vinay Chalisa among other bhajans were performed from 3pm to 7pm. Bhandara or community dinner was organised on this occasion.

The temple was decked up with lights, flowers and other decorative items. A beautiful rangoli depicting lotus attracted the attention of visitors.

The famous saying about this temple is, only those who are blessed by Maharaj Ji and want them to visit the temple can come, many people don’t find the temple and return from outside.

Do try to come once to this temple as the atmosphere is totally homely.
