KALABURAGI: Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Saturday appealed to Karnataka voters, urging them to prevent the Congress party from gaining any foothold in the upcoming parliamentary elections in the state.
Speaking at a massive gathering in Kalaburagi, PM Modi stated that the BJP’s vision is to transform Karnataka into a hub for agriculture and industry. He assured the people of his commitment to this goal, offering “Modi’s guarantee” of development.
“This is Modi’s guarantee. If you want Modi’s guarantee, no matter what strategy the Congress might come up with, they should not open their account in Karnataka. When you go to the polling station press the Lotus button to ensure the victory of the BJP on election day,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
In an apparent reference to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks, PM Modi highlighted the sentiment expressed by some Congress leaders themselves, acknowledging the widespread discontent with the Congress government in Karnataka.
The Prime Minister criticized the Congress for its consistent lack of meaningful change despite various iterations of leadership. He cited the loss of hope among citizens shortly after the Congress assumed power as evidence of public disillusionment with the party’s governance.
PM Modi also added on the state of law and order in Karnataka, expressing his concern over the apparent rise in anti-social activities and a pervasive sense of fear among the populace.
He accused the Congress of prioritising its agenda over the welfare of the people.
