PM Modi’s ‘Maan Ki Baat’ Not Aired Today Due To MCC

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not address ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday due to in observance of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and in view of upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The show ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a monthly radio broadcast delivered by the Prime Minister dedicated to India’s achievements. The programme is aired on the last Sunday of every month at 11 a.m.

Election Commission of India refers the MCC as a guidelines for all political parties and candidates before elections.

Prime Minister Modi earlier said that Mann Ki Baat will resume after the Lok Sabha elections.

“It is a programme of the people for the people and by the people,” PM Modi said.

The first phase of the general elections will begin on April 19. The Lok Sabha elections for 2024 will be conducted over seven phases from April 19 to June 1.

In a previous Mann ki Baat broadcast, PM Modi had said, “During its 110 episodes it is a big success of the programme that has been kept even from the shadow of the government. It will be 111th episode of ‘Mann ki Baat’ when we meet next time,”
