Jubilation across Congress camps after Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra sweeping Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll by over four lakh votes.
The Wayanad bypoll gained national attention due to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s electoral debut. Priyanka contested against Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Navya Haridas and CPI(M) veteran Sathyan Mokeri.
The Wayanad constituency comprises of seven assembly seats – Mananthavady (ST), Sulthan Bathery (ST), and Kalpetta in Wayanad district; Thiruvambady in Kozhikode district; and Eranad, Nilambur, and Wandoor in Malappuram district.
