London: It has already proven that Indian youths exhibit immense potential, unique skills, and the caliber required for demanding positions in overseas countries. Once again, the United Kingdom is extending a remarkable opportunity by offering three thousand visas to Indian citizens under the Young Professional Scheme (YPS).
The official confirmation was provided through a tweet from the British High Commission in India on X, which shared details about the first ballot of the YPS. This visa job placement scheme is expected to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the UK and India under the leadership of United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his counterpart Narendra Modi in India.
The India YPS visa permits individuals aged between 18 to 30 to reside and work in the United Kingdom (UK) for up to two years.
“It’s not too late to explore and experience the UK standard of lifestyle and the fashion of London. However, applicants must be selected in the India Young Professional (YPS) ballot before applying for this visa,” emphasized Amit Sachdeva, who provides consultancy services to students in the UK and India.
“This visa offers great flexibility for both job seekers and students seeking placements. The UK serves as the hub for numerous multinational corporations and domestic companies, offering ample vacancies annually for potential candidates to fill demanding roles,” Sachdeva added.
According to eligibility criteria, applicants must be Indian citizens aged between 18-30 and possess qualifications at a bachelor’s degree level or above (regulated qualifications framework level 6, 7, or 8 as per the UK standard of education grades). Additionally, applicants should not have any dependent children under 18 years financially reliant on them.
Candidates interested in applying for YPS should have £2,530 in savings in their bank account as per the visa requirements. This amount should be available for at least 28 consecutive days, with the 28th day falling within 31 days of visa application.
Furthermore, applicants must provide a written letter from their university confirming their qualifications at the bachelor’s degree level 6, 7, or 8, or the required qualifications to support their application. Along with that £298 is visa application fees and £1552 is healthcare surcharge.
