Actor and director Aamir Khan ahead of the ‘Living Legend’s birthday, surprised Big B by gifting him a wedding invitation of his own wedding to actress Jaya Bachchan dated 1973. Jaya Bachchan was Jaya Bhaduri then.
This news has gone viral ever since Amir Khan questioned Big B, “Do you remember your wedding date?” to which Big B responds, “June 3, 1973.” The actor was sitting on the hot seat of popular television show Kaun Banega Karorpati (KBC). To Bachchan’s surprise, Khan produced Amitabh’s wedding invitation with Jaya Bachchan, saying “I’ve proved to you that I am your number one fan.” Amitabh Bachchan as always reciprocated the warmth by a loud laugh.
Amitabh’s father Dr Harivash Rai Bachchan did not allow him to go on a holiday abroad with Jaya (Bhaduri) Bachchan before marriage and insisted them getting married. Both got married at Jaya’s grandmother’s house in Mumbai with the blessings of their elders and subsequently went a holiday. This year both would be celebrating their 51st wedding anniversray.
