Udaipur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remains in power until 2047, can make it possible “India’s mission” of becoming the most developed country globally. Speaking at a public rally in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Shah criticized the Congress party, labeling it as opportunistic, dynastic, and lacking direction.
Asserting that the BJP is anticipated strong mandate of over 400 seats in the upcoming elections, Shah emphasized PM Modi’s commitment to fulfilling his promises. He criticized the Congress for its lack of leadership, direction, and policy, attributing its decline to focusing on enhancing dynastic political careers rather than India’s progress.
Shah highlighted India’s progress under PM Modi’s governance, noting its rise from the 11th to the 5th position in the world. He identified nepotism, corruption, appeasement, and casteism as the four scars plaguing the nation.
“The Congress not only boycotted the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Sri Ram temple in Ayodhya but also stopped its construction using its machinery during power. Although India achieved Independence 75 years ago, PM Modi installed rays of life in the country,” he said.
“Now every worker of BJP and people of India have committed to choose PM Modi third time,” he added.
Addressing the concept of “Sarvapratham Bharat” (India First) within the “INDIA bloc,” Shah criticized the promotion of dynastic succession within political families, citing examples like Sonia Gandhi, Lalu Yadav, Uddhav Thackrey, and MK Stalin.
Listing the achievements of the Modi government, Shah highlighted the fulfillment of promises such as the implementation of the One Rank One Pension scheme and the abrogation of Article 370. He emphasized the government’s handling of security issues, including responding to incidents like Pulwama and Uri with surgical strikes and airstrikes.
Shah also praised the government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting India’s vaccine production and distribution efforts. He commended Uttarakhand for becoming the first BJP-ruled state to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
In conclusion, Shah reiterated India’s strength and resilience under PM Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the government’s swift and decisive response to security threats and its commitment to national progress and development.
