Bollywood celebs including Arshad Warsi pay final respect to late actor Rituraj Singh on last rites

Mumbai: Over a dozen celebrities, including Arshad Warsi, Nakul Mehta, Bhagyashree, and Hiten Tejwani, gathered on Wednesday to pay their final respects to the late television actor Rituraj Singh, who passed away due to cardiac arrest.

The 59-year-old veteran actor passed away on Monday at 12:30 am due to cardiac arrest, as confirmed by his close friend, Vivek.

“A lot has happened recently, and it is so sad. Last I was with him in London, and it was great. He was such a nice human, and I’m so sad that this happened,” Vivek said.

Rituraj Singh’s wife and children were seen at the funeral, expressing their grief. Actress Bhagyashree and actor Arshad Warsi mourned Singh’s demise, expressing their deepest condolences to his family.

Heartfelt visuals of them from the venue were also captured on camera. while Actor Sonu Sood made a post of X known earlier as Twitter “RIP Bhai Rituraj”

“I am deeply shattered after hearing the news of his demise. I really liked him as a person. I don’t know what to say, but it makes me very sad. He left us too early,” Arshad Warsi said.

With a prolific career spanning both television and cinema, Singh left an indelible mark in shows like ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, where he shared the screen with esteemed actors like R Madhavan, the late Irrfan Khan, and Surekha Sikri. Additionally, he graced numerous other television dramas, including ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, ‘Trideviyaan’, and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, as well as making appearances in films such as ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.

He had worked prominently in Bollywood, playing different characters and roles in numerous Indian TV Shows like Banegi Apni Baat aired on Zee TV in 1993, Jyoti, Hitler Didi, Shapath, Warrior High, Aahat, Adaalat, and Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Born in 1964 into a Rajput family in Kota, India, Singh, whose full name was Rituraj Singh Chandrawat Sisodia, did his schooling in Delhi before moving to the United States. He worked in theatre in Delhi alongside Barry John’s Theatre Action Group (TAG) for 12 years and was also part of web series titled Abhay, Bandish Bandits, Indian police force, and many more in his entire career.
