GURUGRAM: Police booked Big Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav on the charges of beating up Delhi-based Youtuber Maxtern aka Sagar Thakur.
Elvish assaulted Maxtern,25, over a social media rivalry.
The incident occurred on Friday at around 12.30 am, when Elvish had called Maxtern for a meetup in Southpoint Mall in
Gurugram.
Later Elvish along with his 8-10 accomplices started beating Maxtern.
Maxtern alleged that all the accused persons were drunk and abused him badly when he tried to save himself. He said Elvish tried to break his spine.
Elvish has been booked under IPC sections 147, 149,323 and 506.
“Police are examining the CCTV footage of the mall and the footage recorded the attack. In initial investigation it was found that they have been vying with each other on YouTube and their followers would pick on each other on social media. Elvish might be arrested soon,” said a senior police officer part of the investigation.
Maxtern sustained four minor injuries.
