Police probe after teenager is killed in East London

East London: Police initiated a murder investigation after a 17-year-old boy died after being stabbed in Hackney in Hackney at East London.

According to Police, the incident occurred on Saturday at about 10.50 pm near Shoreditch adjacent to Cremer Street. A team of paramedics were called and rushed to the spot at Hackney Road.

A team of forensic experts cordoned off the crime scene and collected some samples for examination. A probe is underway.

The victim was found with stab injuries and died on the spot, The investigation is on to identify the culprit and efforts are on to nab, the Metropolitan Police said on Sunday.

“My thoughts are with the family of victim who has tragically lost his life,” Detective chief Superintendant James Conway said.

A post-mortem examination and formal identification are yet to take place.
