Fresh threat call to actor Salman Khan has increased headache of Mumbai police. On Friday, the Mumbai Traffic Police received a WhatsApp message, “Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹ 5 crore. If the money is not given, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui’s.” The police immediately came into action and initiated a probe into the authenticity of the message.
The question that arises is how can Lawrence Bishnoi send messages from jail? Bishnoi has been behind the prisons for over a decade, yet he continues to run one of India’s most notorious crime syndicates.

Experts opine that not just Bishnoi but this is a common practice among people like him across the globe who use one of the most advanced and technically sound communication techniques – VoIP and the “Dabba Calling.” Through this people like Lawrence Bishnoi maintains his constant connection with over 700 shooters across five states.
What is ‘Dabba Calling’?
Lets imagine that a criminal or a contract killer place an extortion call to his victim (anywhere) using the Internet. Then this henchman would place a second call using another phone to his boss somewhere in the world. The man would place both the phones side-by-side. He would then turn the speakers, let his boss do the threatening. In this context, the henchman is someone else who is getting Lawrence Bishnoi connected.
Well, apparently all this sounds absurd especially when Bishnoi is behind the bars for over a decade.
Once again the treat calls and possibility of using advanced communication techniques have raised a question on the corruption prevalent within the jails allowing people like Bishnoi to mock the law enforcement agencies. Not only they are in connection with shooters but run the business of contract killing within the fore walls of the prisons.
