Mumbai: Actor Rashmika Mandanna and Shraddha Das experienced a terrifying ordeal during a flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad on an Air Vistara Airlines. Severe turbulence and technical glitches forced the flight to return to Mumbai airport shortly after take-off.
The incident happened when both the actors were flying from Mumbai to Hyderabad.
Taking to her Instagram account, Rashmika shared a selfie with Shraddha Das, captioning it, “Just FYI this is how we escaped death today…” She described the turbulence as akin to a near-death experience, expressing shock at the ordeal.
The airline, Air Vistara, issued a statement explaining the situation, stating that the decision to return to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai was made with passenger safety in mind. After 30 minutes, the flight was take-off safely and a technical snag was detected on Vistara flight operating from Mumbai to Hyderabad on 17 February 2024. An alternate aircraft was arranged, and the journey resumed shortly thereafter.
The actor who recently starred in the movie ‘Animal’ which was a box-office hit.
