Telangana: In connection with cruelty toward dogs, where over 20 stray dogs were found shot dead in the Mahbubnagar area, police have launched an investigation and filed a case based on a complaint filed by a group of animal activists.
According to locals, the incident took place in Ponnakal village, Telangana. They alleged that a masked man arrived in a car after midnight and indiscriminately fired upon the stray dogs as they rested in an open area.
Upon receiving information from concerned locals, a team of animal activists promptly arrived at the scene in the morning.
“We were informed by a resident that a masked individual arrived in a car and callously opened fire on 20 dogs. Some dogs sustained injuries, while 20 were tragically killed,” stated Adulapuram Goutham, an animal activist.
“We have notified the authorities and urged them to apprehend the perpetrators. A case has been filed against unidentified individuals, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects,” he added.
